Meet The Advisor

Robin Roberts
Chief Advisor
After spending more than 40 years in the banking industry, it was a natural fit to help others build their retirement plans and make the most of what they have.
I’ve spent my life managing money and helping organizations grow. Most people don’t realize how their 401(k)s and investment choices will impact their financial future – that’s where I come in. I help people understand how to grow their money safely and with confidence.
My Journey
I didn’t start out as a financial advisor. I built my career from the ground up in banking. Over the decades, I’ve:
- Founded and launched a new bank in Minneapolis
- Managed a $200 million bond portfolio
- Served as President & CEO, leading teams and building trust
- Negotiated, built, and staffed 20 new bank offices across the Twin Cities area.
Through all of that, one thing became clear – most people don’t have the guidance they need to make smart financial decisions. That’s why I transitioned into financial advisory – to help individuals understand their retirement plans, investment options, and long-term strategies in a way that actually makes sense.
My Approach
I believe financial planning shouldn’t be complicated or intimidating. Your goals are unique, and my job is to guide you step by step toward a financial future that feels right for you. No confusing jargon, no pushy sales tactics – just honest, straightforward advice backed by decades of experience.
My Life
I’ve been married to my wife, Linda, for more than 45 years. Three years ago, we returned to my hometown after spending nearly five decades in the Twin Cities — a move that brought us closer to family, familiar places, and a pace of life we truly enjoy.
We have one daughter, who was married a few years ago, and we were thrilled to welcome our first grandson just over a year ago. Watching our family grow has been one of life’s greatest joys.
Staying active and connected to the community is important to me. I volunteer at the local Senior Center, where I teach Chair Yoga, and I also teach Tai Chi at our local yoga studio. Movement, balance, and mindfulness have been lifelong interests of mine, both personally and
professionally.
Tennis has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Last spring, I had the opportunity to coach the local high school boys’ tennis team for the first time (that I played on over fifty years ago) — an experience I found incredibly rewarding. I’m looking forward to working with these great young men again and continuing to support them both on and off the court.

For many Americans, Social Security is the single largest asset they have in retirement, and greater than 90% of all recipients do not maximize their Social Security benefits. Advance planning is essential and the decisions you make today can have a tremendous impact on the total amount of benefits you stand to receive over your lifetime. This educational webinar will provide you with much needed information to help you understand the system, coordinate spousal and survivor benefits, minimize taxes, and maximize your personal benefits.
Whether you’re single, married, divorced, or widowed, there may be ways to maximize the lifetime Social Security benefits you receive.
One of the most important decisions you need to make before you retire is when and how to claim Social Security benefits. About half of retirees apply for Social Security as soon as they become eligible at age 62, but by doing so, they may significantly and permanently impact their income and benefits for the rest of their lives. The difference between the best and worst possible decision of when to start Social Security can be well over $100,000!
